Geoff Kinde

Geoff has a B.M. from Wayne State University and an A.F.A. from Macomb Community College. He studied privately with Joe Morello (Dave Brubeck Quartet), Sam Tundo (Detroit Symphony Orchestra) and Jerry McKenzie (Stan Kenton Big Band).
He has performed with many orchestras and theater companies including The Rat Pack Tribute from Las Vegas (Geoff was musical director) and The Prince Street Players in NYC. He also toured nationally with Atlantic Records recording artists The Atomic Fireballs and can be heard on the soundtracks for Scooby-Doo, American Pie, The Haunted Mansion and Three to Tango.
A private instructor since 1989, Geoff teaches drum set (all levels-all styles), marching/concert percussion and latin percussion. He was the director for Camp Jam and Camp Jam Kidz in 2007 & 2008. He also facilitates his own drum circle, Living Rhythm Drumming Community.
Geoff's teaching style is tailored to the needs of his students. From kids learning their first instrument to college students requiring private study credits to adult hobbyists. Geoff's mission is to help people reach their musical goals in a friendly and encouraging environment.
