The Know Obstacles Band is a group of artists with disabilities led by the owner of Oz's Music, Steve Osburn. Working with people with diverse needs, KO is an inclusive band that empowers participants to experience the joy and powerful effects of music in a safe environment. The Know Obstacles Band provides the opportunity for people with disabilities to have the experience of being in a band. The band rehearses and performs regularly to get participants comfortable and confident in the music. The performances are heartwarming, fun, and inspiring for everyone. Know Obstacles Summer Camp
Camp Overview: This summer, Eastern Michigan University and Oz's Music is offering the Know Obstacles Music Camp, an interactive therapeutic music experience designed for individuals with a range of special needs. The camp will provide a unique, five-day learning environment where participants can engage in structured musical jams focusing on vocals, instruments, and drum circles. There is a performance for all campers on the last day of camp. No prior musical experience is required, as instruments are provided, and parents and caregivers are encouraged to join in the fun!
