Olivia Cirisan is a percussionist based in Southeast Michigan. Olivia holds her Masters Degree from the University of Michigan, and has been playing percussion professionally for 7 years. She is currently Vice President of the Michigan Chapter of the Percussive Arts Society, and she performs both locally and nationally with her groups FLYDLPHN and VIRID. Olivia frequently combines various different genres and areas of expertise together in her work; she is also a singer/songwriter, music producer and audio engineer and has released multiple records independently.
Passionate about music education, Olivia has been teaching since 2020. She teaches percussion to all ages of students, and can also offer lessons in songwriting and music production as well. As an educator, her goal is to prepare students with the proper skills and knowledge to feel confident and capable in their musicianship, whether they desire a career in music, or if they are just here to learn, explore, and develop a relationship with an instrument.
